Great attraction! With our guide Mia and driver Mr. Hu providing attentive service, we were taken to Panda Avenue and then to the research center. For non-Chinese travelers, I recommend pre-booking through your chosen provider (we used Private Tour) and uploading your passport details for entry. We allowed 4-5 hours in the park since there was so much walking to do. While there are multi-person golf buggies available for an extra cost, we enjoyed walking around. The pandas usually come out around 9:30 AM, but not all were out on the day we visited. Don't miss the red pandas—they were so playful, running around and making us smile!

This was just a small tour with four of us, and Lawrence, our guide was very easy to talk and informative about the food and life in China. His English was really good too.
We ate so much that I couldn't possibly list it all! We tried noodles, rabbit head, stuffed pancakes, spring rolls, and some sweet treats, finishing with a traditional hot pot dinner. We also visited a tea room and a market. Of course, if there's something you're not comfortable eating, it's not a problem—but this is a Sichuan food tour, after all!

Our guide, Andy, was just incredible. His English skills are excellent, and his knowledge of the areas we visited was outstanding. Climbing the mountain to see the birthplace of Daoism was truly an experience of a lifetime. We took a short boat ride across a cute little lake, followed by a cable car ride and then a walk. We were so lucky with the weather, and when we got to the top, the view was amazing. There was a sense of peace and natural beauty just by being on the mountain. I can't recommend Andy highly enough!

After seeing Xi'an, we came to Chengdu. With my last-minute planning, I arranged a private day tour to Dujiangyan Panda Base and the Dujiangyan irrigation system through a recommendation I saw on Your Way. Chou, an organizer from the company, is an expert in the local area. First, he waived our admission fees to the Panda Base once he learned that we are Hong Kong citizens (we didn't even know we could get in for free). Secondly, he managed to get my 8-year-old daughter to join the volunteer program, which the park doesn't allow kids under 12 to participate in. What a fantastic, well-planned arrangement before our trip even began! It has already exceeded any and all expectations.

The whole experience, from the booking through the actual tour, was excellent. Lilly provided clear communication leading up to the tour date, which eliminated any questions or concerns. On the day of the tour, Mia, our tour guide, did an excellent job. She knew the location well and was able to provide interesting facts as we progressed through our day. Daniel was really friendly and helpful, always quick to reply on WeChat. The whole experience was super smooth—he booked the tickets using our passports, and there were no issues with entry. We were picked up by a fantastic driver who arrived right on time and was also very friendly. Daniel was flexible in arranging our drop-off at Tianfu Airport after visiting the Panda Base. It was such a unique experience to understand the work of the keepers and get up close to the giant pandas. I would definitely book another tour with this team!

The Leshan Buddha was amazing! I highly recommend doing the hike instead of the boat, it gives you plenty of time to enjoy the magnificient Buddha. I recommend going in September, definitely not as crowded as I imagine it gets other months of the year. Our car driver Master Chen was amazing! He was punctual, he came with us to the ticket office and helped us get our tickets. Leshan Buddha is quite far away but he definitely made the journey smooth. I can't stress it enough, great rider!! He then took us to Huanglonxi Ancient Town, and he pointed us towards the best street to stroll on. I also recommend doing this portion of the trip, since you get a picture of the old china housing style which is mostly lost in the big cities. This trip is worth doing and worth the 4h total of car.
