Took the high speed train to leshan and the buddha was massive. Our guide explained the buddhist significance and we hiked down the stairs to see the toes. She rearranged lunch when we wanted more time at the monastery. The car ride back gave us flexibility to stop at a roadside fruit stand. Back in chengdu by evening with great photos and sore legs but happy.
