As someone who loves a bit of adventure, this two-day hike was everything I hoped for. The terrain was challenging in parts, but the reward of panoramic views of the rice terraces made it all worth it. One of the highlights of the trip was waking up early for the sunrise over the terraces—seeing the first light touch the mist-covered mountains was absolutely magical. Our guide June, was exceptional throughout. She was patient, made sure we were comfortable at every step, and shared so much interesting information about the area. The sense of accomplishment at the end of each day, knowing we’d explored such a corner of China, was incredibly satisfying.

The nighttime tours were definitely a highlight of our visit to Guilin. I’ve never seen such beautiful landscapes illuminated by lights. The Li River cruise was calming and picturesque, and the Two Rivers and Four Lakes Night Tour was full of history and culture. Our guide really knew their stuff, pointing out interesting facts about the history and culture at each stop, which made the experience even more enjoyable and insightful.
