Started early at the panda base which was the right call - we saw the babies being fed before the crowds arrived. Our guide knew exactly where the red pandas hide out. Afternoon at jinli ancient street and kuanzhai alley was a feast for the senses. She took us to a hotpot place where locals eat and the numbing spice was incredible. Driver kept the van cool and had water ready after each stop.
