Hi there,
I am planing of doing the Yading Big Kora in late November - early December. Do you think this is too late and too much snow? And what tours do you offer including this trek?
Thanks,
Sacha

Thank you for your inquiry about trekking the Yading Big Kora in late November/early December.
While the Big Kora is a breathtaking trek, this time of year does bring significant challenges. By late November, the high-altitude trails are often covered in snow and ice, making the trek both difficult and potentially unsafe. In many years, the trail is closed to trekkers due to harsh winter conditions, so we would not recommend attempting the Big Kora during this period.
That said, we offer a range of winter tours to Daocheng Yading that focus on the accessible lower-altitude scenic areas. These include visits to the stunning Pearl Lake and the surrounding sacred peaks, which are beautiful even in winter. Our tours include private transportation, accommodation, and optional guides to help you make the most of your visit safely.
For more details on our available winter itineraries and recommendations, please contact us at [email protected]. We’d be happy to help you plan a safe and unforgettable trip.
