Welcome to Xining (altitude: 2,261 m), the capital city of Qinghai Province in northwestern China. Upon arrival at Xining Caojiabao Airport (or Xining Railway Station), your local guide will be waiting to greet you with a "Your Way Holiday" sign and will escort you to your hotel by private vehicle. If weather permits and you're willing to walk about 3 kilometers (approximately 1 hour) to the sunrise location, an early rise will reward you with the chance to witness the breathtaking sunrise over Chaka Salt Lake, typically around 6:00 AM.
