Booked this tour to get an overall impression of Chengdu and the pandas, as my time was limited. Alice picked me up from the hotel with a driver and explained everything very clearly, providing lots of insights. Our first stop was the magnificent Leshan Giant Buddha, where I marveled at the impressive craftsmanship of this monumental statue. Next, we ventured to Mount Emei, enjoying its stunning landscapes and rich cultural significance. The highlight of the day was the giant panda breeding, where I got a great view of both the giant and small pandas, and I was able to see many of them. Although it was crowded, we navigated quite smoothly. After that, we took a relaxing walk through Renmin Park, where we enjoyed some delicious tea, which was a perfect way to conclude an interesting day. Finally, we explored Kuanzhai Alley, soaking in its vibrant atmosphere. Book this tour with Mia, who has a kind and positive personality. All tour guides have completed university and know the history very well, making it very interesting to listen to them. We started our tour early to reach the Chengdu Research Base by 8 AM. It's best to go there as early as possible to avoid crowds. Trust me, wake up at 6 AM if needed :) so you can better see and enjoy the lives of the pandas. This was the reason I went to China, and I was so happy to see these cute creatures. Later, we went to People's Park. I visited on a Friday, which was a public holiday. Wow, the things you will see there will amaze you. Then we had traditional green tea in a tea house. Actually, I haven't seen such tea houses in either Beijing or Hangzhou. So, please enjoy every moment there. Afterward, we explored Jinli Ancient Street, where the vibrant atmosphere and delicious snacks truly showcased the local culture. Finally, we strolled down Kuanzhai Alley, known for its charming blend of history and modernity, offering unique shops and a glimpse into local life.

Great stress-free way to see the pandas, especially in the heat of the summer and with huge crowds due to the summer holidays. Our guide, Allen, met us at our hotel and knew the shortcuts to navigate the large sanctuary grounds and avoid some of the crowds. If we had been on our own, it would have been a bit of a challenge. Allen was punctual and friendly, answering all our questions and even helping us book the Chinese Opera for the afternoon. Thanks, Allen!

I was recommended by friends to go to the Panda Centre early for opening, and I’m so glad I did! I contacted my guide, Mike, he was happy to adjust our departure time to leave early. Mike arrived at the hotel before the scheduled pickup and had a sign with Your Way Holiday on it. He spoke good English and was eager to share all about the city during our journey to the Panda Park. I had a fantastic experience, and highly recommend this to anyone visiting!

Well organized, and our guide, Lily, helped us to the best areas to see pandas, which was great. Nice stop for lunch. The giant Buddha was great. I was afraid of the long time in the car combining the two, but with the level of confort provided it went by fast and was really worth it!

The Leshan Buddha was amazing! I highly recommend doing the hike instead of the boat, as it gives you plenty of time to enjoy the magnificent Buddha. I suggest going in September; it's definitely not as crowded as I imagine it gets in other months of the year. Our car driver, Master Chen, was fantastic! He was punctual and even came with us to the ticket office to help us get our tickets. Leshan Buddha is quite far away, but he made the journey smooth and enjoyable. I can't stress it enough—great driver! He then took us to Huanglongxi Ancient Town, pointing us toward the best street to stroll along. I also recommend this portion of the trip, as it offers a glimpse of the traditional Chinese housing style, which is mostly lost in the big cities. This trip is worth doing and absolutely worth the 4-hour drive! Mike, our guide, was equally knowledgeable and made the experience even more enriching.

Frank was my driver for this tour, and he was excellent! He was very punctual with the hotel pickup, even arriving 15 minutes early. A bottle of water was also provided. Both the Leshan Giant Buddha and Emei Mountain exceeded my expectations. The journey was smooth, and I would definitely recommend this trip!

The panda center is absolutely amazing! We saw so many pandas, from adorable babies to full-sized adults. The highlight was definitely spotting the playful red pandas; they were so entertaining! I loved every moment of our visit!

Great attraction! With our guide Mia and driver Mr. Hu providing attentive service, we were taken to Panda Avenue and then to the research center. For non-Chinese travelers, I recommend pre-booking through your chosen provider (we used Private Tour) and uploading your passport details for entry. We allowed 4-5 hours in the park since there was so much walking to do. While there are multi-person golf buggies available for an extra cost, we enjoyed walking around. The pandas usually come out around 9:30 AM, but not all were out on the day we visited. Don't miss the red pandas—they were so playful, running around and making us smile!
