Longchi National Forest Park

Overview
Longchi National Forest Park is a national forest park, located in Dujiangyan, northwest of Chengdu. It is only 84 kilometers away from Chengdu and 30 kilometers away from Dujiangyan. It is one of the 20 key national forest parks in China. She provides people with a beautiful, charming and magical scenery of returning to nature. 

Longchi National Forest Park is located in the transition zone between the western Sichuan Plain and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It is only 84 kilometers from Chengdu City and 30 kilometers from Dujiangyan. It is one of the 20 key national forest parks in China, with a total area of more than 480,000 mu, of which the core scenic spot is more than 40,000 mu, with an elevation of 1800-3280 meters.

Folk Festivals
Longchi Ice and Snow Festival began in late 1995 and is one of the most important festivals in Dujiangyan. The Longchi Ice and Snow Festival lasts three months from December to March. It spans Christmas, New Year's Day, Spring Festival, Lantern Festival and Women's Day of March 8th. It provides an excellent place for people living in the southwest for winter tourism. It fills the gap of ice and snow tourism in the southwest and becomes the golden route of winter tourism in the southwest. Ice and snow projects carried out during the Longchi Ice and Snow Festival include ice sculpture, snow sculpture, cross-country skiing, free skiing, high-slope skiing, horse sled, ice and snow photography, etc. Longchi Scenic Area provides people with a beautiful, charming and magical scenery of returning to nature.
