Diqing History
The history of Diqing is a multi-ethnic culture with Tibetan culture as the main body. The history of Diqing can be traced back to 3000 years ago. In addition to the indigenous people, there are also ancient tribes such as white wolf and elder sister Qiang. 

In the Tang and Song Dynasties, the jurisdiction of Diqing was transferred from Tibet to Lijiang Prefecture. In the following thousands of years, a large number of ethnic minorities from Tibet, Sichuan, Guizhou and other places slowly gathered in Northwest Yunnan, and Diqing Autonomous Prefecture began to take shape. The religion of Diqing-Shangri-la is mainly Tibetan Buddhism, and many religions and sects coexist. Tibetan Buddhism, Catholicism, Christianity, Islam, Dongba religion, Taoism and primitive religions live in harmony here, forming a mysterious and profound religious and Cultural Palace. The Tibetan Buddhism spread in Diqing includes Ningma school, Kaju school and Gelu school. Tibetan Buddhism is the main religious culture of Diqing Shangri La.

Tibetan Bonfire Culture
Fire pond is a kind of fixed room and tools which use regulated stone and iron to make a fire for cooking and have the function of heating and so on. In the past, when there was no electricity or electrical appliances, there were not many ways of entertainment in Tibetan families. When the whole family gets together on the new year's day or when there are visiting relatives and friends, according to the tradition, everyone should sit around the bonfire, sing toast songs and dance Guozhuang dance.
