Overview
Gucheng Mountain—Qilixia Scenic Resort is located in Gucheng village, north of Wangcang County of Guangyuan City. It is 64 kilometers from the county center. Covering a total area of approximately 330 square kilometers, this region belongs to the Karst landform. The highest point is East Gucheng with an altitude of 2073 meters while the lowest point is Guankouya Valley with an altitude of 880 meters, the average height being 1200 meters. Gucheng Mountain—Qilixia Scenic Resort is composed of three main parts, namely, Gucheng Mountain, Qilixia and Bailong Palace.

Highlight
Gucheng Mountain Scenic Resort is primarily a mountainous region, complemented by forest landscape, wild animals and underground landscape. The bright and colorful cloudscape varies from one season to another. The shape of the mountains of Gucheng Mountain look like Gu (Chinese drum) while the surrounding precipice takes on a look of a wall, with the height ranging from 150 to 200 meters. The mountaintop is vast and flat, covering an area of 20,000 to 30,000 square meters. The main scenic spots in this region include “the Drum-like Peaks Appearing from the Sea of Clouds”, “Cliff Castle” of Dahong Rock, “the Natural Wind-eroded Garden” of Zhongshanbao, “the Flowery Trail Leading to a Recess” of Taba River and “the Underground River Labyrinth” of Dahong Rock. The Gucheng Mountain Scenic Resort not only provides beautiful views, peculiar landforms and rarely-formed mountains and rivers, but also hosts a colorful culture. It is a sacred place for Confucianism, Buddhism and Daoism. It is dotted by historical sites and has deep-rooted history and culture.
