Nuorilang Waterfall

Overview
Nuorilang Waterfall is located between Nuorilang and Shuzheng Valley. the waterfall is 30m in hight and 270m in width. it is one of China's largest calcified waterfalls. Nuorilang literally means "magnificence in Tibetan language. During the rainy season, the cascading waterfall produces a tremendous noise that ethos repeatedly in the valley. As the water hists the ground, the liquid immediately splashes high up into the air in the form of fine drops. The drops are thrown,blown or projected, forming a splendid water curtain. Visitors often see a rainbow that appears in the curtain when the sun shines upon it.

History of Nuorilang waterfall
The Nuorilang Waterfall in Jiuzhaigou has a drop of 20 meters and a width of 300 meters. It is the widest among the many waterfalls in Jiuzhaigou.

In the Tibetan language, Nuorilang means a male god, and it also means stalwart and tall. Therefore, Nuorilang Waterfall means a majestic waterfall. The surging water flows from the Nuorilang Sea and flows down the top of the waterfall, like a galaxy cascading, and the sound shakes the valley. At the southern end, the water is vast and the cold is pressing, and misty mist rises. In the morning sunlight, you can often see rainbows hanging across the valley, making this waterfall even more charming.

There is a viewing platform on the opposite side of the waterfall. Standing on the platform, the panoramic view of the waterfall can be seen. In autumn, the 300-meter rapid flow of the waterfall turns into a magnificent scene against the backdrop of autumn colors and clouds.

Legend Story
The top of the waterfall is as flat as a platform. Legend has it that there was no waterfall here, only a platform. One year, the monk Zalmud, who had returned from a long journey, brought the Bayeux, iron ploughshares and hand-spinning wheels. Ruoyiguo, a beautiful Tibetan girl from the Alliance, quickly learned to spin thread with a spinning wheel. She put the spinning wheel on the platform at the junction of the three ditches, and let the sisters in the past watch and learn. People call this "textile platform". The brutal leader Roza thought she was doing crooked ways and kicked her and the spinning wheel down the cliff. Immediately, a flash flood broke out, rushing Roza and his accomplices off the cliff, and the textile platform became what it is today.
